JOB TITLE: Fundraising Coordinator

2 Hearts Animal Haven is a Non-Profit Organization with 501©(3) status that is dedicated to helping animals through our foster and adoption program. We are dependent on donations and therefore, successful fundraising events are a key component to our organization’s success.

 

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The qualified candidate for this role would be energetic and enthusiastic about helping animals and working with people. Fundraisers are a very large part of this so we are looking for at least four Fundraising Coordinators to be responsible for coordinating one major event each year and possibly a second small fundraiser. Previous experience is a PLUS! Please note this is a volunteer opportunity.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position requires calling on businesses to get necessary sponsor, products, and services at low cost or donated to our organization for major fundraising events. This person must be outgoing, organized, works well with people and animals, and has the capacity to schedule meetings, coordinate with others, and communicate well with a team to ensure the event is successful.

 

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

Education:

High School Diploma

Experience:

Must be organized, able to multi-task and work in a team environment. Must be outgoing and task oriented. Must be able to meet deadlines, conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. MUST LOVE ANIMALS. Must be available to work nights and weekends for events.

 

KEY COMPETENCIES

Phone, typing, and computer skills.
Needs Windows and Microsoft Office skills and experience: Outlook, Skype, PowerPoint, Paint, Excel, Word, and Publisher.
Requires access to the internet and printer/fax/copier.
Must have social media skills and smart phone to access and use Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and YouTube.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to stand for long periods of time (during events).

OPEN VOLUNTEER POSITIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING EVENT



 GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The qualified candidates volunteering at this event will be friendly, energetic and enthusiastic about helping animals and working with people. Fundraisers are a very large part of this effort so we are looking for volunteers for the following positions at our first annual crab feed. Please note this is a volunteer position.

  

KITCHEN VOLUNTEERS – 8 PEOPLE

Assigned by the kitchen coordinator to work the food line by refilling bowls for Crab, Pasta, Salad, Bread, etc.

 
BBQ VOLUNTEERS – 3 PEOPLE

Responsible for barbequing the Tri-Tips

 
DECORATIONS COMMITTEE - 4 PEOPLE

Set-up and break down all decorations

 
SERVERS – 30 PEOPLE OVER AGE 13+

Assigned to specific tables to bring the food from kitchen and clear plates, etc.

 
50/50 RAFFLE SELLERS – 4 PEOPLE

Must not be afraid to approach people and SELL, SELL, SELL!

  
SILENT AUCTION COORDINATORS – 2 ADULTS

In charge of getting donations for the silent auction. Set-up the silent auction table and monitor. Announce the winners.

 
SELL DRINK TICKETS – 1 PERSON

 
CLEAN-UP CREW – 6 PEOPLE

After the event is over, help clean-up by removing the table cloths, clearing tables off. Ensure garbage cans are emptied and garbage taken to dumpsters throughout the event.


*this may require volunteers to work late on the evening of the event.
